What is RAFO?

RAFO stands for Roosevelt Adjunct Faculty Organization. It is the faculty union for part-time instructors at Roosevelt University. RAFO was founded by a set of adjunct faculty advocates who were determined to raise the pay and defend teachers’ rights

How does RAFO support faculty?

RAFO supports faculty by advocating for fair wages, benefits, and working conditions. During the summer of 2024, we negotiated a new contract including funding for professional development and a 17% raise over four years.

How can I get involved with RAFO?

To get involved with RAFO, you can attend one of the membership meetings held each semester, attend the monthly RU Senate meeting, join a committee, or reach out to us for more information.

What are the benefits of joining RAFO?

By joining RAFO, you can access IEA/NEA resources and support for professional development, as well as have a voice in the governance at Roosevelt University.
